Physics blocks that fight back.
In development
Quake Tower is a portrait mobile physics puzzler about building a structure that can survive a scheduled earthquake. Players aim, rotate and drop tactile blocks, read the tower’s balance, and choose between safe engineering and high-scoring risk.
Fact sheet
- Genre Physics puzzle
- Platforms iOS · Android · Web
- Engine Godot 4.7
- Players Single-player, with an unscored web demo.

- Milestone Pre-production
The core loop
Micro-loop (5-10 seconds): the next block appears at the spawn arc, the player drags horizontally to aim and rotates in 45-degree increments, drops it, and watches it fall, collide and settle while the stability readout updates. Meso-loop (about 30 seconds): a 3.0-second quake warning, a 1.5-4.0 second quake that shears loose blocks off the tower, any block crossing the Rubble Line destroyed for an integrity cost, a survived-quake bonus, and a rising intensity ratchet.
Features
- 14-piece block catalog across 4 materials (Stone, Wood, Rubber, Ice) with distinct density, friction, restitution and structural roles
- Four escalating quake types — Tremor, Roller, Jolt and Resonance
- Every quake is telegraphed 3.0 seconds ahead.
- Engineer’s-eye readability: stress tint on blocks under high load, a center-of-mass plumb line that turns amber then red
- Integrity starting at 100 with per-block loss values and a catastrophic-loss rule
Direction
‘Toy seismology’ — chunky, tactile, slightly miniature blocks like a wooden desk toy photographed on a diorama, over a soft-depth painterly backdrop. Explicitly not flat hyper-casual vector and not realistic rubble.
Who it is for. Primary: adults who enjoy short, legible mobile puzzles and may not identify as core gamers, playing one-handed portrait sessions of 3-8 minutes, often while commuting or waiting. Secondary: daily-score competitors and creators who can communicate the entire premise in a short collapse clip.
