Dig Together

A cozy cooperative mobile puzzle where care reveals the story.

In development

Two to four friends explore a fictional layered site through complementary roles. Surveyors reduce uncertainty, Excavators change the site carefully, and Conservators protect and reconstruct what the team finds. Progress belongs to the room — there is no individual loot, speed bonus, paid rescue, or contribution leaderboard — and care, not speed, reveals the story.

Fact sheet

  • Genre Co-op puzzle
  • Platforms iOS · Android
  • Engine React Native
  • Players 2-4 players cooperative in invite-only rooms
  • Status In development
  • Milestone Concept prototype

The core loop

Orient (read the team objective, clue, map legend, and ‘since your turn’ recap); choose (inspect one to three plausible cells or actions with result and prerequisite preview); act (perform one role-specific command, with no speed bonus); resolve (the local engine or server validates atomically and writes a plain-language event); handoff (the next needed role is named and the player may add one contextual ping); interpret (after meaningful reveals the team chooses or revises a working explanation); complete (reconstruct the central find or story and see an equal team recap)

Features

  • Two to four players share complementary roles.
  • Eight core verbs: Survey, Excavate, Stabilize, Document, Interpret, Recover, Reconstruct, and Ping.
  • Progress belongs to the room: no individual loot, speed bonus, paid rescue, or contribution leaderboard
  • Every tap receives an action preview; unsafe or unavailable actions return a typed explanation without changing state.
  • Three versioned sites ship in the prototype — the 5×5 Amber Trench, the 6×6 Windglass Steps, and the 6×6 Mosslight Shelter

Direction

Creative target: ‘Field journal warmth + tactile tabletop clarity + wind-polished wonder.’ The game should feel like a carefully arranged expedition table viewed through a modern mobile interface: layered earth tiles with softened edges, paper labels, reversible supports, amber highlights, and cool mineral air

Who it is for. Primary: friends, partners, and family groups who enjoy cozy puzzles but do not identify as competitive gamers; ages 13+ for the first account-based release pending formal privacy, store, and legal review
