Cabin Capital

Build a hospitality business you can be proud to keep.

In development

Cabin Capital is a grounded, cozy strategy game about keeping a small hospitality business solvent without wearing out the cabin — or the community around it. Players read a weekly forecast, choose one operating priority, resolve bookings and an itemized ledger, respond to contextual events, and reach a season ending shaped by cash, safety, guest trust, resilience, and local standing.

The core loop

Weekly operating loop: 1. Read the field note (demand band, weather/context signal, fixed obligation). 2. Inspect available cash and season goal checks. 3. Compare seven priorities and commit one week of attention/capital. 4. Resolve demand, booked nights, revenue, costs, debt, wear and policy pressure. 5. If an event triggers, choose a response with visible cost and direction. 6. Read the itemized ledger and causal explanation. 7. Update the next-week plan.

Features

  • Seven operating strategies / weekly priorities with up-front affordability rules (open the calendar, tell the cabin’s story
  • Three demand phases, three scheduled lender checkpoints and a 12-week Hemlock Ridge season
  • Seeded simulation and exact replayable scenarios; deterministic weekly resolution
  • Crash-recoverable two-slot local saves with checksums, legacy migration and future-content protection
  • Twenty choice-driven events with forecast signals, prerequisites, cooldowns, warnings, at least one no-cost response

Direction

‘A warm field journal laid over a living, weathered place.’ Grounded, tactile, observant, crafted, legible and weather-aware; painterly 2.5D illustration with restrained gouache/paper texture, one clear property silhouette at phone thumbnail size, and UI structure borrowed from field notebooks, ledgers, trail signs and survey marks.

Who it is for. Primary: adults who enjoy cozy management, tycoon, board-game and systems-driven strategy; players attracted to cabins, small businesses, renovation, hospitality and place-based stories; mobile players who want meaningful decisions without twitch input or long daily obligations.
